The Canadian government announced in Ottawa on September 26 that, starting October 1, 2022, all COVID-related entry restrictions will be removed. In addition, domestic restrictions within Canada will also be significantly eased.
Entry Restrictions
Although Canada has already lifted many entry restrictions and allowed large numbers of visitors to enter the country, the following requirements are still in place and will all be removed on October 1:
- Complete the ArriveCAN health declaration
- Provide proof of COVID vaccination
- Take COVID tests before and after entry
Restrictions Within Canada
The requirements to wear masks and undergo health screening when traveling by plane or train within Canada will also be removed.
