We recommend calling directly. During the call, the representative may try to steer you toward attending a timeshare presentation. Just decline politely. You can simply and confidently say that you’re calling for the 5,000 points, and that’s fine. This promo has been quite popular, so if you’re interested, it’s best to jump on it sooner rather than later.
Ways to call a US phone number from mainland China, either cheaply or for free:
- Google Fi (best signal, great pricing)
- Google Voice/Hangouts (requires a VPN in mainland China; can also be used together with Google Fi)
- WeChat Out (requires linking a US phone number, stable signal, great pricing)
- Skype (does not require a VPN in mainland China, but the signal is unstable, so I personally do not recommend it)
