About Boss Money
The founders are Zev Mo Green and David Berkowitz. The official website is here:
- Do not apply through the official website; applying through our link includes the signup bonus
It claims to have the following features:
- No credit history required
- No monthly fee
- No foreign transaction fee (no FTF)
- Provides a checking account and savings account (in partnership with Evolve Bank and Trust, FDIC insured)
- Offers a virtual Mastercard and one-time-use cards
- Supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other mobile wallets
- Evolve Bank and Trust provides FDIC insurance up to $250,000
Application Process
Note that Boss Money is fairly strict about account opening:
- You must be on a US network
- Your physical location must be in the United States (if you are temporarily outside the US, you may consider i4Tools)
- You must have either ITIN + foreign ID (such as a passport) or SSN + US ID (such as a US driver’s license) [choose 1 of 2; SSN applicants must register with a US ID]
Once these two conditions are met, you can continue with the application. Although Boss Money says it supports applications without an SSN/ITIN, if you only have a Chinese passport, you will most likely be denied. Once you have everything ready, the application process is simple:
- Use the link above (or download the app via the QR code)
- Link
- The app needs permission to detect your location (you must be in the US)
- You need a US phone number to receive SMS verification (virtual numbers are not supported), plus email verification
- Set a 4-digit account PIN
- Fill in your personal information and US address
- Choose ITIN, SSN, or passport-only to apply (note: if you choose SSN, you must verify with a photo of a US ID)
- Take a photo of your passport (auto-scanned), then a selfie for system comparison
- Then wait for review (usually you’ll know within a few minutes whether you’re approved or denied). If you see this page, you will almost certainly be approved
Account Details
Boss Money’s digital wallet service comes with a checking account at Evolve Bank and Trust. It also provides a debit card (virtual card), along with checking and savings accounts.
After loading $20 into your balance, you can request a physical debit card. It also offers a virtual card and one-time-use virtual cards. The card network is Mastercard, and the first 6 digits of the BIN are 511913, so you can start using it immediately:
I received the approval email in about 3 minutes. After logging into the app, everything worked normally. It shows both checking and saving, but saving does not provide an account number. The deposit rate for both is the same at 3.75%. You can add funds at some partner convenience stores in the US, such as Walmart. You can also link another checking account to fund it, use a debit card to add money (not recommended because of the fee), or receive ACH transfers from a third party.
Referral Bonus
Boss Money offers both an account opening bonus and a referral bonus. Both parties can receive the same reward ($25 or $100).

Summary
Editor’s note: This account looks pretty solid and may be worth applying for, especially if you just want to earn the account opening bonus. Feel free to share your experience if you’ve used it.
