Best Western has just launched a fall promotion, and it’s pretty solid. Valid from September 18, 2023 through November 20, 2023, stays at any Best Western brand hotel in the U.S., Canada, or the Caribbean can earn 5,000 bonus points for every two nights stayed, whether the nights are separate or consecutive. You can earn up to 20,000 bonus points total, which you’d reach after eight nights.
A few things to note:
- You need to register before your first eligible stay, though it’s fine if you booked the stay before registering
- Although this promotion is open to Best Western Rewards members, the hotel stay must be in the U.S., Canada, and/or the Caribbean to qualify
- Eligible stays include bookings made directly with Best Western at non-deep-discounted rates
- You’ll earn bonus points for every two nights, whether consecutive or not, up to 20,000 bonus points total
- Bonus points will be deposited into your Best Western Rewards account within two weeks after an eligible stay
Best Western Rewards normally earns 10x points per dollar spent. By my valuation, Best Western points are worth about 0.5 cents each, which means you’re getting roughly a 5% return on Best Western spending. That doesn’t include any points earned from credit card spending, or the extra bonuses you may receive with elite status in Best Western Rewards. With this promotion, over the first eight nights during the promo period, you’d average 2,500 bonus points per night, based on each two-night block. That works out to an extra $12.50 in value per night, which is quite good considering many Best Western hotels are reasonably priced.
For redemptions, Best Western typically charges 8,000 to 36,000 points per free night, depending on the property.
