BBB has also published its own guidance on how gift cards, store credit, coupons, refunds, and other items will be handled as stores close. If you have any of these, make sure to use them before the deadlines so they don’t go to waste.
Details are as follows:
- 20% Bed Bath & Beyond coupons: valid through April 26
- Bed Bath & Beyond gift cards: valid through May 8
- Bed Bath & Beyond merchandise credits: valid through May 15
- Welcome Rewards: usable through May 15, and no new rewards will be earned
- Bed Bath & Beyond returns/exchanges: items purchased on or before April 23 can be returned through May 24
- Store-closing liquidation sales will begin on April 26!
According to CNN, Bed Bath & Beyond is preparing for liquidation sales and an exit from the market. If you still have gift cards for the store, it’s a good idea to use them as soon as possible, since there’s a real chance they may stop working later. The company has been talking about bankruptcy restructuring for quite some time, and stores have already been closing gradually. It appears the business was unable to find a buyer, and now it can no longer hold on and plans to sell off everything and leave the market.
