Barclays suddenly announced that it will add 8 transfer partners to the Arrival+ credit card. Most of the transfer ratios are 7,000 Arrival points to 5,000 miles. Based on the partner list and the transfer ratios, there is not a whole lot of outsized value here. Given that the Arrival cards have in fact been unavailable for applications for quite a long time, my guess is that Barclays may be preparing to bring the product line back. Give it a new name, tweak the benefits, and relaunch it.
The detailed transfer ratios are as follows. Personally, I think AC is probably the only especially useful one here.
- Flying Blue: 7000 to 5000
- Etihad Guest: 7000 to 5000
- JAL: 11500k to 5000
- Qantas: 7000 to 5000
- EVA Air: 7000 to 5000
- InterMiles: 7000 to 5000
- AeroMexico: 7000 to 5000
- Aeroplan: 8500 to 5000
