Apple, long known for being pretty stingy with discounts, is offering an Apple Store gift card promotion this Thanksgiving shopping event. Note that this is an Apple Store gift card, not an iTunes gift card. The gift cards come in four tiers: $25, $50, $100, and $200. Even the lowest return rate is 12.5%, and the highest goes up to 28.5%!

How to stack it

  • Use it together with a shopping portal (be sure to check the terms and restrictions), or with an app like Drop (you need to click through from the app)
  • Use a credit card that you are meeting a welcome bonus spending requirement on, a credit card with high online cashback (3%-5%), Apple Card itself (3%), or US Bank UAG mobile wallet payments (4.5%)
  • Pair it with overseas cashback promotions from Mainland China credit cards (5%～15%). Note that online orders may get canceled, but in-store purchases should be fine
