【Update】The reward is now $7. Once the reward posts, you can cancel right away. If you have AMEX streaming credits with no good way to use them, this may be worth considering. If you already did this earlier, remember to cancel if you have not done so yet. This reward also seems to be repeatable, but to be safe, we do not recommend doing it too many times on one account.

Earlier, we summarized the AMEX Platinum streaming subscription credit across different versions and shared a few tips on how to maximize this credit:

In that post, we mentioned that Drop is one of the best tools for getting full value from these streaming credits. Among Drop's streaming subscription offers, Hulu is the fastest one to pay out. The Disney+ Bundle reward is slower and usually needs to stay in Pending status for a while. For Hulu, once the charge posts, the reward can show up about three days later. If you have a large enough balance, you can redeem directly for gift cards.

  • Drop sign-up link (complete 1,000 points, earn 5,000 bonus points, worth $5)
  • Or download the app first, and during registration enter this code in the Add an invite code field: ae29t (complete 1,000 points, earn 5,000 bonus points, worth $5)

Here is KUKU's reimbursement and reward timeline:

  • May 4: Subscribed to Hulu for one month through Drop, $6;
  • May 6: Charge posted
  • May 7: AMEX credit triggered
  • May 8: Drop reward posted, with no Pending period required; at the same time, the Hulu offer could no longer be found in Drop after the reward was completed
  • After receiving 6,000 points (worth $6), in theory you can cancel next month's subscription right away, but it may be better to wait a few more days and cancel near the end of the month
After tax it was $6.42, and the AMEX credit posted quickly
After the AMEX credit, the next day I also received the 6,000-point Drop reward, and it posted directly

The Disney+ Bundle is also decent, but the points need to stay Pending for a while (similar to using Rakuten for Espn+; presumably they need to wait for Disney+ to confirm before paying out). SiriusXM requires subscribing for two months; we will share more DP later.
