Today, AMEX has sent out a targeted offer to many SPG credit card holders. The spending requirement on this offer is relatively high, but it may be worth considering if you have necessary upcoming expenses.

Details

There are two versions of this offer. After enrollment, by September 30:

  • Spend $10,000 and earn 10,000 bonus Starpoints;
  • Spend $15,000 and earn 15,000 bonus Starpoints;

Note that only spending after you enroll in the offer will count. Spending before enrollment will not be counted.

If you have a lot of spending coming up, this is a pretty good offer. It works out to an extra 1 Starpoint per dollar spent, for a total of 2 Starpoints per dollar on all spending.
