Equinox+ app membership pricing has now changed, and for AMEX cardholders the annual membership costs only $300, which lines up perfectly with the Platinum card’s $300 annual reimbursement. At least this benefit is actually usable now... However, you still need to pay tax, so decide based on your own needs.

The Equinox credit on AMEX Platinum family cards has been changed to $300 per year instead of monthly (effective in 2023). Once combined, you can now subscribe annually directly, which is much more convenient. However, the 2022 credit still works the same way as before on a monthly basis. You can find the specific description on the benefit page:
Through 2022, statement credits through this benefit will be provided on a monthly basis of up to $25 back per month. Starting in 2023, statement credits through this benefit will be provided on an annual basis of up to $300 per year.
And apparently it can also be used to buy an At-home bike.
