5/13/16: The 2,500 MR for the authorized user I added a couple of days ago has already posted. Even though I added multiple cards, I only received one bonus, so it’s possible the CSR I chatted with misunderstood the terms. Still, I’m happy to get a free 2,500 points :P
5/14/16: Cat Uncle’s 2,500 MR has also posted. The terms say it takes 6-8 weeks, and customer service said 2 weeks, but it looks like when a promo is newly launched, the bonus MR can post very quickly (2 - 3 days).
If you have the AMEX Premier Rewards Gold card, try finding any excuse to chat with AMEX online customer service right now. After the chat ends, there is a good chance the agent will offer you a PRG authorized user bonus. The first five authorized user cards have no annual fee, and you can get 2,500 MR for each added authorized user card (YMMV; another writer on this blog seems to have received only 2,500 total). The points will post to your MR account within six to eight weeks.

Details

This offer is only valid during the current chat session. In other words, if you start a new chat after the current one ends, the offer will most likely be gone.
Adding the authorized user must be completed during the chat. You will need the authorized user’s name, date of birth, SSN (if they do not have one, you can enter 000-00-0000), and address.

Note: AMEX charge cards are often called FR triggers, and adding a large number of authorized users is also one of AMEX’s sensitive points. Readers who are worried about FR should be careful not to add too many.
