Reimbursement itself is fine; I just noticed an interesting display bug. I’m not sure whether it was caused by a routine AMEX system update. So far, I’ve only seen it happen on the Hilton Aspire card and the AMEX Gold card, as follows:

Hilton Aspire
- When the annual reimbursement has not been fully used, it shows the following: what, I only have $25 of reimbursement left?
- When the annual reimbursement has already been used up, it shows the following: what, I still have -$225 of reimbursement left?
- For the ones that haven’t been used up yet, I’m not sure how it will display.
Based on the displayed amounts for the used-up and unused reimbursements, 25 - (-225) = 250, so the total should be correct. It doesn’t look like they’re giving away free money.
AMEX Gold
This card is also pretty interesting. Right now I only have a card with the reimbursement already used up, and it shows -$90 as below
So I’d expect a Gold card that has not used the reimbursement yet to show a reimbursement amount of $10.
It should be a small system bug. So far I’ve only seen it on the Aspire and Gold cards. The Platinum card’s credit display looks normal; when the credit is used up, it shows as follows:
By the way, all AE reimbursements have been relatively delayed recently.
Everyone can check their own account. Have you used up your reimbursement? If not, you can refer to the article below—it might help.
