Airbnb is a platform that allows hosts to rent out their homes. Recently, Airbnb and American Express have launched several partnerships, one of which is this AMEX Offer: spend $100 and get $50 back. Even better, this offer also works on gift card purchases. In other words, you can buy a bunch of Airbnb gift cards now and lock in an effective 50% discount. You’ll likely come out ahead by using them for future travel. Also, Airbnb bookings can now be paid directly with AMEX Membership Rewards points. However, the redemption rate is terrible at about 0.7 cent/pt, so we strongly do not recommend using points this way.
