AMEX MR has now added Qatar Airways as a transfer partner at a 1:1 ratio. In practice, when using Avios with Qatar Airways before this change, MR points could already be transferred to BA first and then moved to Qatar through the Avios website, so this addition mainly makes the process a bit more convenient.

With this addition, AMEX MR transfer partners now include:

  • Star Alliance: Air Canada, ANA, Avianca, Singapore
  • oneworld: British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Qantas, Qatar Airways
  • SkyTeam: Aeromexico, Air France KLM, Delta, Virgin Atlantic
  • Non-alliance: Aer Lingus, Emirates, Etihad, Hawaiian, JetBlue
  • Hotel partners: Choice, Hilton, Marriott
