More rumors have surfaced on Flytalk. According to one report, a customer service representative shared by phone that this card will launch on September 22, carry a $250 annual fee, include Gold status, and offer some bonus earning categories. It looks like this will be a mid-tier credit card, and based on the annual fee, it will probably also come with an annual 35,000-point Marriott Free Night.
As a last time, I asked about the “new Bevy card.” After a 5 minute hold, the CSR came back and said the Bevy card launches on 22 September for $250, and has the following benefits:
- 6x points at Marriott
- 4x points at US supermarkets
- 2x points everywhere else
- Gold status
Not included:
- Priority Pass
According to VFTW, someone sent him an image of the AMEX Marriott Bevy card design, which is very likely AMEX’s new Marriott card.
Four months earlier, Marriott filed two new trademarks:
- Marriott Bonvoy Bevy
- Marriott Bonvoy Bountiful
If Bevy is issued by AMEX, then Bountiful will likely go to Chase. Right now, AMEX has the premium Marriott Brilliant, while Chase does not have a premium Marriott card. Chase only has the no-annual-fee personal Bold and the $95-annual-fee Boundless. So it is quite possible that Chase will use Bountiful as a premium card.
In addition, there were earlier survey rumors about Marriott co-branded cards. The possible benefits included Platinum status and a resort credit, with an annual fee potentially in the $650-$750 range, plus a higher-tier annual free night certificate (80,000+). Stay tuned for further developments.
