For a long time, the referral cap on AMEX credit cards was 55,000 points or $550 in cash back. Recently, however, AMEX has significantly raised the maximum referral bonus. Here are a few that I received; feel free to add data points for other cards as well.

  • AMEX Gold 100,000
  • AMEX Everyday 100,000
  • AMEX Marriott Brilliant 100,000
  • Delta Blue 100,000 (It looks like the referral page below still says 55,000 miles; I guess the system may need some more time to sync.)
  • AMEX Hilton Aspire 80,000 (This one seems to have been around for quite a while.)
