Method

  • Install the Chrome extension Touch VPN (free).
  • In your settings, clear all cookies related to AMEX.
  • Open an incognito window, launch the Touch VPN extension, and set the location to United States (the original poster checked the IP and it showed Indiana).
  • Paste the referral link into the incognito window.
  • If you still don’t see it, try manually refreshing quickly in the incognito window: control (or command) +T, ctrl (cmd) +V, enter. Repeat. The original poster was able to pull up Plat 100,000 / Gold 75,000 most of the time with an Indiana IP. A quick way to check whether it’s the better offer is to look at whether the main headline wraps onto a second line. If it doesn’t wrap, it’s the standard offer; if it does wrap (because it shows 60,000–75,000, so there are more characters), it’s the better offer.

Editor’s note: Pulling up AMEX incognito offers has always been a bit of a dark art. We generally recommend using Express VPN + incognito mode, or opening the link on an iPhone or another less frequently used phone, or via a WeChat QR scan / in-app browser. Based on testing, the reader’s method seems to work reasonably well, so feel free to give it a try. YMMV.
