It looks like the AMEX app has recently added a new feature: you can now view All Card Benefits for some credit cards. If I remember correctly, tapping this section used to redirect you to a web page, where you had to log in before you could see anything. Below is what I see for AMEX Gold and AMEX Platinum:
Overall, the biggest advantage is that it’s now much easier to check whether benefits that require enrollment have actually been enrolled. At the moment, it still does not show usage for airline, dinning, or shopping credits, but I suspect that’s the direction this feature is ultimately heading.
Unfortunately, the interface for the legendary AMEX Aspire does not seem to be ready yet, and it shows that the system is not responding:
As for bank app user experience, Chase is another issuer that has done a pretty good job. Hopefully both continue to improve~!
