AMEX recently confirmed that, starting October 1, 2026, holders of its Platinum Card® will no longer have access to Lufthansa lounges. This partnership began in 2017 and was renewed multiple times over the years. After the eligible access was just expanded earlier this year, the sudden end of the benefit comes as a surprise to many cardholders. American Express said cardholders will still have access to more than 1,550 airport lounges worldwide, including 32 Centurion Lounges, as well as partner locations such as Delta Sky Club, Escape Lounges, Plaza Premium, and Priority Pass Select.
