AMEX’s Marriott co-branded cards (Bonvoy and Bonvoy Brilliant) have a new offer. After enrolling, through September 15, you can earn 6x Marriott points on spending in the following categories: car rentals, airfare, gas, and transit. You can earn up to 10,000 points in each category.
These categories are just okay, and 6x Marriott points are only worth about a 4%–5% return. Be sure to compare the effective value against your other cards before deciding whether to use this card for these purchases.
