Paying with an Amazon Gift Card

Although the terms require payment with a Discover card, in practice you can still pay with the gift card balance in your Amazon account and receive the $10 discount. Here’s how:

  1. Add eligible items sold by Amazon to your cart, with a total amount greater than your gift card balance.
  2. Open your cart and proceed to checkout.
  3. At checkout, select Discover card plus gift card as the payment method, and enter the promo code as described above.
  4. Remove the extra item(s) at checkout.
  5. This will make the gift card cover the full purchase, while you still get the $10 off discount.
