Third-party gift cards on Amazon can no longer be purchased using Amazon gift cards or your Amazon Balance. You can see that this payment option is no longer available at checkout. This applies to both physical gift cards and eGCs. It’s fair to say this move significantly reduces the value of Amazon’s own gift cards.
