We received an email saying that starting July 29, reloading your Amazon gift card balance with a debit card will no longer earn 2% rewards. Honestly, this feature was pretty nice: you could trigger it with various Visa gift cards as well (just enter your checking info normally; it doesn’t matter whether it’s actually linked), and you could also use PayPal Key to put it on a credit card and earn 2%+1%.
