Alliant is a relatively large credit union, and it has recently launched a new credit card product. The standout feature is that this card earns 3% cash back on all purchases during the first year, and 2.5% cash back thereafter, making it one of the highest-earning cash back credit cards available. There is also no cap on the rewards. Right now, this card is only available to Alliant members to apply for (banking customers of a credit union are its members), but it will open to everyone in April. If you want to apply right away, you will need to open an Alliant banking account first (you can open an account by donating $5 to a designated organization).
[Application] You must apply by phone at (800) 328-1935. Currently only available to Alliant members.
[Welcome bonus] None.
[Annual fee] $59, waived for the first year. You can find more details about this card at the official webpage.

Pros of the Alliant Visa Signature Credit Card
- 3% cash back on spending in the first year, then 2.5% thereafter. This is especially attractive for people with high spending. Cash back can be redeemed once you have at least $25.
- No foreign transaction fee.
Cons of the Alliant Visa Signature Credit Card
- It has a $59 annual fee, which is not insignificant for a card without many perks.
Should You Apply?
Compared with other 2% cash back credit cards with no annual fee, such as Citi Double Cash, you would need to spend $11,800 per year on this card to make up for the annual fee. If you truly have a lot of uncategorized spending, this card can be well worth applying for; otherwise, you should think carefully before applying.[Application] You must apply by phone at (800) 328-1935. Currently only available to Alliant members. If you have any experience with the Alliant Visa Signature, feel free to leave a comment and share it with us.
