About Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Dining

Like the dining mileage programs run by other major airlines, this follows a simple “register - add a card - dine and pay with that card - earn miles” model.

Not every restaurant participates in the program, and the restaurant lineup differs slightly from one airline dining program to another. From what I’ve seen, though, most restaurants overlap, since they use the same backend.

There aren’t many Chinese restaurants in the restaurant list, and the ones that do appear are often Americanized Chinese restaurants.

In the AS program, you earn 3 miles per $1 spent. Note that this does not conflict with, replace, or reduce the rewards you already earn from paying for dining with your credit card.

Summary

Getting 1,000 miles as a new user is pretty sweet. It’s basically like spending $20 to eat $30 worth of food.

For existing users, elite members can earn an easy 5 miles per $1.
