Who Can Enter the Alaska Lounge LAX?
If you meet one of the following:
- Priority Pass card or Lounge Club card
- A same-day Alaska Airlines first-class boarding pass
- An Alaska Lounge Membership
- Day Pass purchase: $50/person, AS cardholders $25/person
- American Airlines Admirals Club member or same-day first-class passenger
How to Find the Alaska Lounge LAX
If you enter security and go directly to T6, keep walking forward; after Gate 64A, there is an elevator on the left that goes up to the lounge. PPS often has a wait, and the AS lounge is often crowded.
At LAX, terminals T4-T8 are connected airside after security, so passengers from T4-T8 can access the Alaska Lounge relatively easily. Other terminals require exiting security and re-clearing security again, since the walking distance is longer, and LAX security can sometimes take quite a while. Given that this is not an AMEX Centurion Lounge, it is not highly recommended to hassle with it. If you are departing from TBIT international terminal, it is still better to use the KAL Lounge LAX there. If you are departing from T1-T3, you can consider the T2 Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge.
Once you are in LAX T6 and cleared security, just follow the signs and continue straight. At the left/right split, take the left side and you’ll see an elevator next to the T4-T6 underground corridor entrance.
Food and Beverage
As you enter, food is on the right. They offer salads, two kinds of hot soup, some baked goods, some bread, and fruit like apples and bananas. There is also AS’s signature pancake machine, which is the same model as HIX’s, just with a different casing.
Non-alcoholic drinks include coffee and a variety of carbonated beverages; juice is available at the bar.
As a full meal, the options are a bit limited, but it is fine for a light meal, and the taste is acceptable.
Inside the lounge, on the inner side, there is a bar counter, and juice can also be requested from the bartender there.
Seating Area
This lounge is not very large, but because it was recently renovated, it is still clean and modern. There were so many people that I couldn’t take frontal photos, so I shot from inside the lounge looking outward.
There are power outlets beside the seats.
Other Amenities
There are no particularly special areas; just check out the men’s restroom.
Summary
The food quality in this lounge is slightly above average overall for U.S. airport lounges, and since the area is small, extra amenities are also somewhat limited. If you are departing from or arriving at LAX T6, it is still worth checking out; if you are in another terminal, factor in how much free time you have.
It takes about 15 minutes to walk to T5 and T7. If you are in T4, you can take AA’s shuttle bus to T4. If you are in T4 or T8, it is recommended to leave the lounge at least 20 minutes before boarding to avoid missing your flight.
