Air Canada launched a new policy today: if you earn Aeroplan miles between April 20 and May 31, you can also receive a certain amount of AQM or AQD to help you qualify for elite status.
You can earn Aeroplan miles through Air Canada co-branded credit cards (available in Canada), the Aeroplan shopping portal, and points transfers. Transfers include bank points (MR, Capital One points) and hotel points (Marriott, etc.). If you’re interested in earning Air Canada elite status, this is a pretty generous offer.
The details are as follows:
- If you currently have no Air Canada status, you can transfer 50,000 points to upgrade to Silver status and enjoy benefits such as free checked bags and priority boarding
- If you already have Air Canada elite status, you can use the chart below to move up to the next tier
In addition, you can also earn AQM through donations.
