What is a fuel surcharge?
Fuel surcharges (Fuel Surcharge,YQ) is a transportation enterprise in response to high fuel costs, charging customers extra fees to offset rising costs due to higher fuel prices.Simply put, it is the hidden price increase!
Since the second half of last year, Cliff fall in global oil prices, especially recently, oil prices have reached a new short-term lows, which makes fuel surcharges imposed unreasonable.
On the adjustment
Briefly, that is, from December 1, Japan Airlines JAL and Japan air transport ANA, cancellation subject to a fuel surcharge.
This adjustment means
Briefly said, due to JAL and ANA belong to the OneWorld OW as well as Star Alliance SA, this passed for charging/fuel surcharge mileage used of the air Division, would have a major impact.
Basically, OW, in addition to AA (except Exchange BA routes outside the US and Europe), BA (for some routes) than air Division, the basic charge YQ, including JAL and Cathay Pacific CX.
In SA, in addition to the UA,AC (part of the route), from AV, YQ is charged. And, unfortunately, YQ AC on ANA flights will be charged.
In this adjustment, the Canadian AC and ANA ANA flights will not charge YQ.Similarly, to OW members exchange JAL, also will not need to charge YQ.That ANA/JAL their mileage, combined with their own 60k economy class round trip between China and Singapore, was a very good exchange.
And ANA/AC points can be obtained from MR/SPG, which MR use is a big plus.
